About Walkies with Marley
Hi, this Marley, a 6 year old border terrier. She is a very sociable, loving little dog, with lots of energy. Marley enjoys running with her mum Gemma, and going on walks with her and other doggy friends. Her two human brothers adore playing with Marley, and she has got really good at playing football with them, she has great skills! We hope to have the pleasure of you joining us soon, for some gorgeous walks around where we live. Only with your written permission, and when I feel 100% in control of your dog, would I feel happy to let them off the lead. We can only take dogs that would be happy to be handled by someone, other than their owner, and are socialised, friendly dogs, for a fun trip out, with Walkies with Marley.
Hello! I'm Gemma. Marley's mum and owner of Walkies with Marley. Having worked in Student Support at Sheffield Hallam University for over 17 years, in a hugely supportive and pastoral role, in between having my two children, I decided to set up my own dog walking and pet caring business.
I have a 6 year old Border Terrier of my own, called Marley, and have grown up with dogs and cats and other small furry friends in my family since I was little. I am a keen lover of all animals, and would treat your beloved pet, just as I do my own, with lots of love, care and attention. I have always had a desire to work with dogs. It is from this passion that Walkies With Marley has developed.
You can trust Walkies With Marley to provide a reliable service..I am reliable, trustworthy and hard-working, and I have tailored this service around the needs of both pet owner and beloved pet.
I am experienced with knowing the best and safest places to walk your beloved doggies. Our walks tend to take place around Rivelin Valley, Ecclesall woods, Endcliffe Park, Forge Dam, Whirlow, Wyming Brook & Redmires, Limb Valley and up to Lady Cannings for a run out on the moor tops. I choose different walks every day, so that your dog can have new adventures and different sniffing ground!
I am fully insured. I have completed a Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Diploma, Animal First Aid course, and recently DBS checked. I can show copies of all my certificates. Your keys are kept in a safe and secure location, the security of your own home is extremely important to me.
I would love you to be happy with what I can offer...I believe that I can help you and your pet, with your daily care needs. Please contact me for an informal chat. I always meet your doggy or kitty, prior to caring for them. It is important that your pet will feel comfortable with its new carer, familiarity is key. There is no charge for the one off 'getting to know you' meeting.
Other members of the Walkies with Marley team are Claire and Lyn, who sometimes help me on some of the walks when needed, and Lyn also helps by covering some of my holiday dates when she can, in order to maintain a consistent and helpful service to my customers when I am away. Claire does the puppy pop ins, whilst I am out walking with the group walk.
