1. General and Payments...
1.1 All clients will sign to accept Walkies with Marley terms and conditions.
1.2 Walkies with Marley will not confirm any booking until a consultation has been carried out with the client and the contract has been signed by the client outlining the full requirements.
1.3 Full payment for services as agreed, must be paid in full upon receipt of invoice, or by a specified date on the invoice, via bank transfer or by Cash payment.
1.4 The client must give full details of any medical or behavioural problems concerning their pet(s).
1.5 In signing these terms and conditions you acknowledge and agree that any verbal or physical abuse or threats to Walkies with Marley will result in the immediate termination of any agreement or contract held. Any booked services will be cancelled and no refunds will be given.
1.6 We will use our best endeavors to ensure that client’s keys are kept in a locked and secure place, separate from the Clients address and other details. After termination of contract keys are returnable to the Client, or Walkies with Marley can destroy them.
Walkies with Marley’s insurance protects lost keys, which means cover for call out charges, expenses, and the cost of replacement locks or alteration to locking mechanisms following the loss of keys.
1.7 It is EXTREMELY important that you inform Walkies with Marley IMMEDIATELY if your pet becomes ill or sustains any injury, and is booked in for services. Failure to keep Walkies with Marley informed may mean the inability to care for your pet, you may still be liable to pay for services, or you may lose any payments you have already made.
1.8 Walkies with Marley respects the privacy of all clients. Information held will be kept entirely for the use of Walkies with Marley and is strictly confidential.
2. Dog Walking...
2.1 We require reasonable cancellation notice, for dog walks and cat feeding
2.2 At least 48 hours notice is required for cancellation of dog walks or cat feeding.
2.3 If the required notice is not fulfilled, no refund will be given for the cancelled walks/feeding.
2.4 Please cancel in writing at walkieswithmarley@gmail.com or text message 07810023478.
2.5 In exceptional circumstances Walkies with Marley reserves the right to cancel a walk. A full refund will be made for the cancelled service(s).
2.6 Walkies with Marley reserves the right to cut short the walk if they feel the safety of the clients dog(s) and the walker is compromised, for example but not exclusively, if a dog’s behaviour becomes aggressive or in extreme weather, such as thunderstorms or excessive heat.
2.7 If after a walk the dog(s) requires towelling down of mud and or water, Walkies with Marley will endeavour to dry and clean the dog(s) as best as possible. Any subsequent mess once the dog(s) is returned is not the responsibility of Walkies with Marley. Walkies with Marley will not be held responsible for markings or damages to home furnishings such as sofas or carpets.
2.8 Walkies with Marley will never walk a dog off lead unless the client signs this contract stating they give permission for off lead walking. In agreeing to this the client is ensuring that the dog(s) responds to recall and poses no threat to other dogs, livestock and humans. Walkies with Marley does however need to feel confident in letting the dog of the lead.
2.8.1 Walkies with Marley will not be held responsible for:
a. any loss (the dog(s) runs away and cannot be found after exhaustion of every effort during the duration of the 1 hour walk) or
b. damage (causes a road traffic accident, damage to property or harms or kills an animal or human) caused by the dog(s) as named above, being exercised off lead.
2.9 Walkies with Marley have their own leads to walk dogs to reduce the risk of mixing up or losing leads. If the client’s dog(s) requires a special lead or harness, or must wear a muzzle, the client must ensure this is available when the dog(s) is picked up. We may, on occasion, use a clients lead.
2.10 For your pet’s safety, Walkies with Marley will securely tag all dogs with 'I'm with my dog walker' and phone number.
2.11 Walk, pick up and drop off times are subject to traffic and weather. Walkies with Marley’s pick up route and walk schedule on any given day are not guaranteed, although every attempt will be made to accommodate requests.
2.12 Walkies with Marley will accept unneutered dogs but they will not be exercised off lead. Bitches in season cannot be walked on a group walk until the season is finished.
2.13 In the unfortunate event of an injury occurring when the dog(s) is in the care of Walkies with Marley, initial First Aid will be administered until the dog(s) can be taken to the vets recorded above under the client’s instructions.
In the event of an emergency, Walkies with Marley will attempt to contact the client on the numbers provided to confirm what action they would like to be taken. If the client cannot be reached, Walkies with Marley will either:
• Transport the dog(s) to the listed veterinarian
• Request on-site treatment from a veterinarian
• Transport the dog(s) to an emergency clinic if the previous two options are not feasible.
Great care will be taken of all dogs, however if the client’s dog(s) needs to go to the vet whilst in Walkies with Marley’s care the client will be liable for all vets fees, however any injury occurred.
2.14 Under new Government laws, all dogs over eight weeks of age must be microchipped as of 6 April 2016. Walkies with Marley will not accept any dog(s) until proof of microchipping has been shown.
2.15 All dogs must be up to date with full vaccinations, worm and flea treatments. Proof of vaccinations must be provided to allow Walkies with Marley to walk the client’s dog(s) with other dog’s.
2.16 Walkies with Marley abides by the Local Land Laws, Dog Control Orders, and Dog Fouling Regulations.

Walkies with Marley will make every possible effort to ensure the service will be carried out by another insured pet feeder. Walkies with Marley will cover any extra costs. A full refund will be made for the cancelled service(s) if no cover can be provided.
3.6 Walkies with Marley can administer basic medication as part of our pet feeding service.
3.7 Please ensure you provide enough food, litter and, where appropriate, medication for your pet whilst you are away. If Walkies with Marley need to pick up more food, litter or medication there will be a charge of £10 per trip to cover costs and travel.
Liabilities...
Walkies with Marley holds full public liability insurance and a copy of the certificate will be given to the client along with a copy of this contract.
Owners will be held liable for all medical expenses and damages in the event of any injury caused by your dog(s) to a member of staff.
Walkies with Marley will not be liable for the transport of dog(s) to and from any vets (this may be provided at our discretion) or kennel, the medical treatment of the dog(s) and any related expenses.

Happy Pet, Happy HeartA well exercised doggy, is a happy doggy!
